What Your Wrinkles Say About You

by Shiri Sarfati

Unless you live in a cool, dark place with no one around, wrinkles are inevitable. We are all going to get them. Some later than others. But at some point, those fine lines around our face start to make themselves known.

I’m in my 30’s and let’s just say, my skin is starting to show those fine lines. I’ve come to terms that they are just part of my expression. I’ve laughed hard to the point of tears, and I’ve cried even harder. Let’s just say, after 30 some odd years, I’ve lived and I have the face that proves it.

Coco Chanel once said “Nature gives you the face you have at twenty. Life shapes the face you have at thirty. But at fifty you get the face you deserve.” And Ms, Chanel wore her wrinkles well and looked as stylish as ever even into her 80s.

I can’t say these lines don’t bother me, but I can literally say that I know what each one means.

And if you’re anything like me, it doesn’t mean that we don’t slather on the skin creams and serums every day (twice a day) to keep them from getting deeper.

Here is a guide to the wrinkles on your face and what they say about you:

1. Laugh Lines

You are bold and positive and know how to have a good time. They are called laugh lines for a reason!

2. Crow’s feet

You’re focused and determined. You have an amazing attention to detail and concentration levels!

3. Frown Lines

So you’ve experienced anger, fustration, heartache…but so what? You’ve survived and they make you fabulous!

4. Forehead lines

You tell the best stories and have a magnetic personality.

5. Lip Lines

You’re a rebel! You smoked, you slurped too many milkshakes and you lip locked way past curfew!

If you are proud of the lines on your face or love the lines of your spouse or loved ones, please SHARE with them on Facebook.
